About Us
Michael Mangione is a management educator for Triad Corporation. He is an avid sailor, woodworker and part time computer geek. This trip represents a culmination of skills acquired over the past 5 years by sailing, racing, taking Power Squadron courses and reading volumes of books of sailing. Michael and Robin have a 34' Hunter docked at Beaver Lake Sailing Club
Robin McAlister is a practicing emergency room physician at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She, too, is an avid sailor and competent helmsperson. She enjoys sailing although not racing her 34 Hunter. Her skills have been acquired over the past 5 years and she has completed 3 American Sailing Association approved courses.
Dominic Mangione is currently an 8th grader at Woodland Junior High. He enjoys sailing and had become a great asset to the team. He has excellent boat handling and can tie more knots than most boy scouts. He will be attending Subiaco in the fall of 2006.
Sam Brooks is an 8th grader at another local junior high school. He had no sailing experience when this trip began. His skills developed quickly and he was able to steer the boat under sail. He will attend Subiaco in the Fall of 2006
His passion lies with the world underwater. He learned and memorized many characteristics of the sea creatures. Sam has unofficially been adopted by the Mangiones
