Isola Murano: The island of the glass blowers

To prevent a huge fire, the glass blowing furnaces were relocated to the small island near Venice. A 15 minute Vaporetti (water bus) ride and Robin and I spent much of the afternoon prowling the streets and looking at the wonderful blown glass. The artisans combine both art and function to create this fantastic works.  We had lunch in small cafe and returned to hustle of Venice.
