Eureka Springs

On Saturday, we traveled to Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  Eureka Springs is famous for its healing hot springs, beautiful Victorian architecture, and traditional arts and crafts.
Our students participated in the National Kids’ Day Festival in Basin Park, visited a haunted hotel, toured a traditional Victorian house, and, of course, went swimming in Beaver Lake!
On top of the Crescent Hotel.  Jane, Ara, and Bart.

All of us!  The Crescent Hotel is said to be haunted.

We visited the Rosalie House. Miss Savilatea Grace deChorum let us dress up in traditional Victorian clothing.  The Rosalie House was built in the 1880s and is on the National Historic Register.

In Basin Park, we celebrated National Kids’ Day with face painting and games.  We also watched an open-car parade through downtown Eureka Springs.
